Foundation construction
Large-diameter rotary drilling rigs
Our four large rotary drilling rigs in the 60 to 120 t classes can be used to drive bored piles up to 150 cm in diameter into the ground. Depending on the building project and subsoil, we use the more accurate method of cased drill-foundation piles or the more cost-effective non-cased piles. Our brand new LIEBHERR LB35 delivers torque of 350 kNm. The special feature of the 112 t machine is the equipment for the double-head drilling method. This technique offers a combination of continuous flight auger drilling and continuous casing. Double-head drilling technology shortens construction times, ensuring that we can always meet ever tighter deadlines in complex pipe jacking projects, both now and in the future.
Furthermore, we execute CFA-boreholes with long hollow stem augers and use special drilling systems such as soil mixing wall systems, FOW piles and displacement piles.
Drill-foundation pile walls are used as waterproof sheeting to secure pits at great depths, as deep foundations for constructions in flood control areas, for creating launch and target pits in underground pipe drives and also for slope and flotation control.
Anchor drilling rig
Thanks to the 360° blade angle this machine enables the following to be realised:
- Gewi anchors
- Ischebeck anchors
- Blast hole drilling
All in the most extreme conditions.
SONNTAG offers a wide range of foundation construction methods covered by its own professionals and machinery. We have worked in sheeting technology using different equipment and technologies for years (see our range of services in sheeting technology).
