Fish pass built at the Moselle weir

Margit Conrad, Environment Minister, Dagmar Barzen, President of "Struktur- und Genehmigungsdirektion Nord", Felix Stenschke, Head of Shipping Subdivision, the Mayor, Dr. Eberhard Schulte-Wissermann and Professor Dr. Hofmann-Göttig break ground for the new fish pass.

The construction costs for the entire project at the Moselle weir, Koblenz, will be around 5.5 million euro. This includes a visitors' centre and systems for fish monitoring that are to be completed by the National Garden Show in 2011.
